Ruchi Kashyap, Executive Trustee

Ruchi with an exhilarating career of 20 years into development sector is heading Atmashakti since 2008. Prior to that, she has worked with SRUTI (Society for Rural Urban and Tribal Initiative).

She has a vast experience at grass root level. Her dynamic personality, strategic thinking, passion and dedication have taken the organization to a greater level. She has the knowledge and understanding of the ground level and spends considerable time in the field. She currently manages a team of over 250 field staff. She operates from Delhi head office. 



Sandhya Singh, Assistant Director - Finance & Admin 

Sandhya Singh has worked with Atmashakti on a part time basis before taking up the current assignment. She has total 18 years of experience in Audit and Finance. Prior to Atmashakti Trust she worked with 'the Other Media' and 'PANOS South Asia' in development sector

Santosh Kumar, Senior Program Manager, New Initiatives

Santosh joined Atmashakti in August 2015.  He is post graduate in Sociology from Shobhit University, Meerut. He also did an internship of 18 months with National Centre for Advocacy studies, Pune.  He has 14 years experience with People's Organization and Social movement. He excels in range of expertise, such as community mobilization, advocacy and policy level intervention, networking with Civil Society Organization, making and working with alliances and people's forum.  In past he worked with Jan Adhikar Kendra, Jeewan Mashal Samiti and Programme for Social Action. He also did consultancy and fellowship in many rights based people's forum and organizations. He is also a recipient of UNV Karamveer Chakra Award for his contributions to people's movement. Santosh is also a Co-Founder of Dalit Shakti Sangathan in Bihar.

Arun Uniyal, Finance Officer

Arun Uniyal is working as a Finance Officer. He Joined Atmashakti Trust in July, 2016. He is a Graduate in Commerce and is pursuing M.Com from Uttarakhand University. He is currently supporting Finance and Accounts team. He is working in close Coordination with Delhi and Bhubaneswar Team. His roles and responsibilities include maintaining Journal and Payment files, NEFT Work, posting entries in Tally, checking bills and vouchers, auditing, ledger scrutiny, billing vouching and handling petty cash and bank accounts.

Monika Pramanik, Admin Assistant 

Monika joined Atmashakti in December 2016.  She is pursuing MBA from Maharishi Dayanand University.  Prior to this assignment she has done one month internship with PNB Metlife, Nehru Place, New Delhi.  Presently, she is working in coordination with Finance team and Programme team.

Gopal Verma, Program Assistant  

Gopal joined Atmashakti in November, 2015.  He joined us as Office Assistant but due to his ardent hard work in upscaling his skills in Program, he has recently been promoted as Program Assistant.  He is closely working with Delhi Core Team and Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh team.

Arjun Dixit, Office Assistant 

Arjun joined Atmashakti in January, 2017 as Office Assistant.  He looks after the daily upkeep of the office premises and supports the team with bank related work. His support helps smooth functioning of office routine.


Laxmidhar Singh , State Manager

Laxmidhar brings in 6 years of experience in rural development sector. After completing post- graduation from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai in social work; he joined as programme manager in department of rural development, government of undivided AP for nearly one year. Prior to joining Atmashakti he worked with Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India as Prime Minister Rural Development Fellow for 3 and half years and was posted in Collectorate Sundargarh. Thus, he carries policy as well as grassroot level experience. He is actively involved with grassroots level organizations working for rights of tribal's. He joined Atmashakti in June 2016 and is looking after organization operations in Odisha.

Manoj  Samantaray, State Manager

Manoj has done Masters in Social Work from Utkal University and joined Atmashakti on 1st July, 2016. He has 9 years work experience in development sector and in his previous assignments he had been involved in full project development i.e. life-cycle from conception to final delivery and ongoing support. Presently he is heading the MIS team and is primarily engaged in report preparation, data analysis etc. 

Nityananda Thanapati, Senior Programme Executive

Nityananda completed his Post Graduation in History from Sambalpur University, Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development from IGNOU and Masters in Social Work from ITMS-Bhubaneswar. He has worked as a Trainer of PHFI, NACO and OSACS on HIV/AIDS and Sexual Reproductive Health and has 15 years of work experience in Development Sector and has worked in states of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha with National and International NGOs.  He joined Atmashakti in February, 2017 as a Senior Program Executive. Presently, he is looking after Health Intervention in Kandhmal district and Water and sanitation in Baliguda and K. Nuagaon.

Santanu Kumar Patra, Senior Program Assistant

Santanu has done graduation in History in 2014. He joined Atmashakti as an Office Assistant in August 2013 and was soon promoted as a Programme Assistant to help programme team working in different districts.  During 2 years course he emerged as an expert in collecting data. His current duties include implementation of health intervention and coordination with the field and senior programme team and reporting. 

Heenarani Nayak, Senior Program Executive

Henarani Nayak completed her Masters in Social Work from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) in Bhubaneswar. She has more than 16 years work experience in the Development Sector working with tribal and Dalit communities on multidimensional issues like Livelihood, Displacement, Gender, Health, Education, Child Rights, Women Rights, Trafficking and Migration etc. and has worked in state of Odisha and Punjab.  She joined Atmashakti in February, 2017 as Senior Programme Executive and is heading the state Women Federation programme. 

Biplab Narendar, Senior Programme Executive

Biplab has total 3 year experience and has been working with Atmashakti for 1 year and 10 months experience. He is working in 3 districts namely Sambalpur, Sundargarh and Jharsuguda.  He is managing the team of 26 Jansathis, 3 coordinators and 3 junior coordinators.  

Kalyani Das, District Manager, Kandhamal 

Kalyani joined Atmashakti in September 2014.  She has a grass root experience of 23 years in Community mobilization, Planning and Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation, Networking and Advocacy etc. She has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Development. Presently, she is working on different programme assignments in Kandhamal. 

Rina Behera, Senior Program Coordinator, Hemgir

Rina joined Atmashakti team as a Field Coordinator in 2014 in Boudh District, Harbhanga Block.  However, she has been transferred from Central Odisha to Hemgir, Western Odisha. She is currently supporting Sundergarh team on different programmes. She has total 7 years experience in development sector. Prior to Atmashakti, Rina worked for 2 years with Adivasi Manch, a People's Forum in Ganjam District, working on MGNREGA, F.S.A and Land Rights. She is known for her courage on challenging Patriarchy and old power structures in her native Panchayat and Block. She also contested a Panchayat election as a Sarpanch but was defeated by merely 3 votes.

Jogesh Raju, Regional Zonal Manager, South Odisha

Jogesh brings in 13 years of vast experience in Project Implementation, Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation and Reporting & Documentation. Most of his experience revolves around rural marketing, rural livelihood, formation and management of community-based organizations like Self Help Groups, Farmer Associations, Farmer Federations, and Village Development Committees. He excels in liaising and working in convergence with various Government Departments. He is equipped with the knowledge on various Government schemes. He joined Atmashakti in September 2014.

Prasanna Pradhan , District Manager, Malkangiri 

He joined Atmashakti in November 2015 in Malkangiri district.  He has a master degree in Social Work and has 13 years of experience in grass root organizations with an expertise in rural water and sanitation. He worked for 8 years with Gram Vikas on water and sanitation issues at grass root doing Monitoring and Evaluation, Planning, Documentation etc.  

Balakrishna Patnaik, District Manager 

Balakrishna has good amount of 11 years and 8 months experience in Development Sector on Project Implementation, Strategy Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation along with the knowledge on Data analysis, Reporting and Documentation. He has completed Master in Social Work (MSW) under Utkal University of Culture, Bhubaneswar.

He has been working with Atmashakti for the last 8 months as District Manager and is working in Koraput district.

Ashish Kumar Behera, Program Executive - Koraput

Ashish Kumar Behera has an experience of more than 12 years in the development sector. Before becoming a part of Atmashakti from December  15, he has served in various organizations of National and International repute. He has very strong hold on project management, communication, reporting & documentation. He is a graduate in commerce from Berhampur University and is continuing his masters in Social Work.

S. Gunabati Senior Programme  Coordinator, Koraput

Gunabati has been working in the development sector for 9 years. She is an expert in mobilizing, organizing and forming women groups. She is also experienced in managing child centric programs at the grassroot. She is a part of Atmashakti since August, 2015. 

Chittarnajan Pradhan, Program Assistant

He joined as a Programme Assistant in April 2015. He has done B.SC honours from Berhampur University. Currently, he is supporting programme team in Baliguda and K. Nuagaon in Odisha. 

Sabir Kumar Montry, Junior Program Executive  

Sabir has completed his Masters is Social Work and joined us in August, 2016.  This is his first assignment and he joined us as Program Executive in Delhi Office.  Now he is a part of MIS team and working from Odisha.  His profile primarily includes documentation and collecting information from the field and reporting to Delhi Core 

Allive Chand Singh, Junior Programme Executive

Alive Chand Singh joined Atmashakti as Junior Programme Executive in June 2017.  He is assisting MIS team in collecting and preparing reports and other documents.  He also assists the field in documentation.  He is new in the team and exploring and learning new facets at work place. 

Rita Bhoi, Admin and Accounts Assistant

Rita has completed her graduation in Arts and currently pursuing MSW under Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Rita is working as an Admin and Accounts Assistant from May, 2016. She is working in close coordination with Bhubaneswar and Delhi Core Team. Rita’s work involves working in coordination with Finance Manager and Programme Manager. Apart from routine administrative work, she also supports the team in organising meetings and workshops in the office.

Basanta Kumar Pradhan, Office Assistant, Bhubaneswar

Basanta joined as an office assistant in November, 2015. He is currently assisting the programme team in admin and logistic work. He also looks after the general upkeep of the office premises in Bhubaneshwar.



Pankaj Guatam, Program Coordinator

Pankaj joined Atmashakti team in Jan 2019.  He has done M.A in Social Work from Banaras Hindu University. He has a grass root experience of 2 years with Gramin Vikas Samiti, a people's forum in Jaunpur.
